I grew up in the suburbs of Milwaukee, but went to school in the city. My parents put me into an art school, which definitely affected my lookout on life. My high school, though, was Rufus King, one of the top schools in the country and definitely in the state. I ended up graduating with top academic scores, most notably the top of my class in the computer science classes.

I decided to go to college at UW-Stevens Point after doing my research and learning that it was the best in the state for game design. I moved into town and got to my classes right away, even skipping a few comp sci classes. I was very happy with everything UWSP offered me up into my final year. I was also surprised to learn how deep the Communication major was, offering not only some well-made classes in speaking, but also allowing students to research into various media studies. I even found classes in board game design, which convinced me it was what I was meant to do.

Since I’ve graduated, I’ve been spending most of my free time designing games. I’ve also been lending a hand to all of my peers in the school’s Student Game Developers club, which has been a great asset to me and for others. I’ve been continuing my research into game design at every facet, and have been trying to broaden my scope and look for more varied resources.
